The New York State Jewelers Association was founded in 1909 to foster, promote and protect the welfare of the jewelers in New York State. With over 700 members from Montauk to Buffalo, the NYSJA represents the top retailers, designers, suppliers and manufacturers in New York City—the jewelry capital of the world.

Fall Area Meetings have been scheduled in NYC Area. Meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 23 at Bayards,* One Hanover Square, NYC.

Meet and Greet and Dinner: 6:30-7:30; Program 7:45-9:00 PM. Topic is "Selling in Challenging Times" presented by David Peters, JA Director of Education. Flyers have been mailed out. Cost is $55.00 for members.

*Bayards is a Brownstone that was the original trading post for tea and tobacco the Dutch New Amsterdam trade in Old New York.

The Annual NYSJA Awards Dinner Banquet was a fabulous event! Many prominent industry leaders were in attendance and the evening went beautifully. SAVE THE DATE!! NYSJA 2009 "Centennial Celebration" is in the planning stages. July 25, 2009 has been set for the Annual Awards Banquet. A kickoff cocktail party is in the planning stages- keep referring to the website for updates.
